Dick Lieb is a composer, conductor, and arranger who has worked on several Sesame Street and Muppet projects over the years. He began his musical career as a bass trombone player, working with The Tonight Show band, under the direction of Skitch Henderson and later Doc Severinsen. Lieb began his association with Sesame and the Muppets in the late 1970s, and also worked on other CTW series, including 3-2-1 Contact.

Lieb has been equally active as an arranger for records, and an orchestrator for stage musicals. In 2006, he won a Tony Award for orchestrating the Broadway revival of The Pajama Game.

Lieb is credited in specials for conducting, arranging and composing background scores, unless where noted.
