Dick Weiss (1937–2020) was a lighting director who served as such on Sesame Street for seasons 9, 13, 17, 18, and 19, and on Sesame Street, Special. Like several other Sesame lighting directors, Weiss worked for Imero Fiorentino Associates, Inc. during his time on the show. He earned two Daytime Emmy nominations for his work on the show (sharing one with David M. Clark).

From 1960 to 1967, Weiss worked for WQED-TV in Pittsburgh in various crew capacities, lighting director among them, including on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (and its predecessor MisteRogers). This was followed by a two-year stint as lighting director and consultant for Logos in Washington, D.C., itself followed by a year (1969-70) as lighting director for ABC in New York, working on ABC News, Dark Shadows, One Life to Live, All My Children, and various other network shows.

After a year of freelance work in New York, Weiss joined IFA in 1971. In addition to Sesame Street, Weiss also lit The Electric Company (for which he earned two further Emmy nods), The Great Space Coaster, The Merv Griffin Show, The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon, and numerous other television programs and specials. After moving to Florida, Weiss worked for Nickelodeon on shows such as Allegra's Window, Gullah Gullah Island, Eureeka's Castle, Clarissa Explains It All (created by Mitchell Kriegman), Roundhouse, All That, and others.
