Dieter Hallervorden in Folge 2257

Dieter Hallervorden is a German comedian and actor who guest starred on Sesamstrasse as clumsy Karl Kaputt in Folge 2257 (2005). In 2017, he had one of the main human roles in the TV movie Die Zeitmaschine, as Emma's grandfather.
Hallervorden starred on several German sketch comedy TV series, including Abramakabra (1973), Nonstop Nonsens (1975) and Die Didi-Show (1989), most often playing a slapstick bumbler named Didi. He made a string of comedy movies in the 1980s, including Didi und die Rache der Enterbten (in multiple roles), Didi auf vollen Touren (with Pierre Tornade), and Der Experte (with Klaus Guth and Jan Fedder). He later transitioned to dramatic roles, including a supporting role in Das Kind (2012) and starring as the aging father of Til Schweiger in Honig im Kopf (2014).
Hallervorden's film credits include The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse (as an extra) and the Marcello Mastroianni film What? (with Mogens von Gadow as a pair of German tourists). He was heard as minor characters in the German dub of The Flintstones and later dubbed Vlad in Hotel Transylvania 2.
