2004-12-22 Disney Motion MWoZ
Disney Motion was a website that offered short form video playback of clips from Disney's library, as well as original content starring talent associated with the company's then-current programming. Launched in 2004 (a year before the debut of YouTube), the website was later redirected to Disney Xtreme Digital.
Well ahead of ABC's premiere of The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, a segment promoting the TV movie was published on December 22, 2004. From their booth at that year's Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, leading cast members Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy were interviewed by Gonzo who appeared via satellite in front of a green screen over which was inserted a studio control room. Gonzo signs off calling the service Disney Commotion, before being corrected: "Disney Motion. You could have fooled me."
