"Do the Conga" is led by Maria in celebration of "Dances From All Over Day" on Sesame Street in Episode 3576.
Wearing a ruffled-sleeve shirt that matches two other kids, Maria explains how the conga dance works before singing a simple song to go with it. At first Ruthie, Bob, and Celina join her, and by the end of the song, Lexine, Gabi, Gina, Big Bird, and others have formed a long line in the dance studio.
The music for the song would later be recycled as the carnaval music at the end of the home video Fiesta!; Maria likewise can be heard singing snippets of the song while dancing. It was also used in Sony Wonder's promotions of the video and the promo for Kids' Favorite Songs as well.
