
Doctor Zhivago is a 1957 novel by Boris Pasternak. It tells the story about Zhivago's life and how it became affected by the Russian Revolution of 1917 and the Russian Civil War.
The novel was adapted into a 1965 epic film of the same name, and was directed by David Lean, who had also directed Lawrence of Arabia.
