Domingo A. Rodriguez (1929–2013) was a costume designer of stage, screen, and television, who worked as such on Sesame Street from seasons 6 through 9.
Rodriguez worked in costume design for Broadway productions, designing costumes for The Passion of Josef D. (with Peter Falk) and Lovers and Other Strangers (directed by Charles Grodin), among others. He also frequently assisted costume designers Patricia Zipprodt and Florence Klotz, assisting Zipprodt on the original production of Cabaret (with Joel Grey and Jack Gilford), Anya (with Lillian Gish), and Zorba; he assisted Klotz on It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman (with Linda Lavin), Follies, Pacific Overtures (with Gedde Watanabe), City of Angels (book by Larry Gelbart), Kiss of the Spider Woman (with Chita Rivera), and the 1994 revival of Show Boat.
Rodriguez also worked on feature films such as Rachel, Rachel (directed by Paul Newman), The Landlord (with Diana Sands, Pearl Bailey, and Robert Klein), The Angel Levine (with Zero Mostel, Harry Belafonte, and Anne Jackson), and Bang the Drum Slowly (with Robert De Niro and Phil Foster). Television credits include The Great Space Coaster (for which he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award), 3-2-1 Contact, The Secret Storm, The Adams Chronicles, and Great Performances.
