Donarioli

Don Arioli (1936-2005) was an animator, writer, and voice actor who spent most of his career in Canada. He was a consultant/participant in the Children's Television Workshop seminars that led to Sesame Street.[1] He did segments for Sesame Street (as well as The Electric Company) and sometimes provided voice-overs, as in the Sign Sounds cartoons. He also lent his voice to cartoons by other filmmakers, such as the straight man in Janet Perlman's insert about an elephant asking directions. (First: Episode 1631)

While born in Rochester, New York, Arioli established himself as a filmmaker in Canada and often made shorts for the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). He directed a portion of the NFB's Man: The Polluter (with Chuck Jones also contributing). He did story or storyboards for shorts directed by others and later wrote for a number of children's series (both live-action and animated) including Shining Time Station, The Busy World of Richard Scarry, A Bunch of Munsch, and The Wiggles. He worked on story for the later Chuck Jones' Looney Tunes Chariots of Fur and Another Froggy Evening.
