Donna Bass is a writer and editor who authored The Dark Crystal storybook The Tale of the Dark Crystal and edited the text for the read-along set. For the first issue of Muppet Magazine, she wrote the "Rowlf on Books" column.
Bass worked as a copy editor at several publishing houses including Random House, the New Press, and Pantheon, primarily for non-fiction books or memoirs (such as Studs Terkel's 1980 anthology American Dreams: Lost and Found).
