Other Characters[]
Doozer Creek[]
Doozer Creek is the primary setting for the series. Unlike the cave-dwelling Doozers featured on Fraggle Rock, the Doozers of the Doozer Creek village live above ground in a lush environment with rolling hills, flowing streams, and an abundance of plant life.
Other Doozer communities are featured throughout the show, including the Desert Village (home to Zappa and her family), the Volcanic Ice Village (home to Buzz), the High Mountain Village (home to Tag), and Tropical City Village. The Doozers from all the different villages get together annually for the "Doozer World Expo." The various communities are connected by Doozer Tubes, a rail system that run between each village. Other Doozer events celebrated in Doozer Creek include Spookypalooza, Gift Exchange Day, and the Fall Foliage Festival.
In addition to the ever-popular radishes, the Doozers of Doozer Creek also grow and utilize peaches, dippleplants (eggplants), lingonberries, and smackleberries. Other creatures in the area of the Doozers' village include birds (chickadees, cardinals, canaries and the elusive blue beaker), Monarch butterflies, caterpillars, beetles, and Ditzies.
Key Locations within Doozer Creek include: Professor Gimbal's Doozarium, the Grip family's dippleplant farm, the Bolt family's treehouse and Timber Bolt's bakery, Doozer Creek Supply Depot, and the Doozer Dome (a purple geodesic crystalline arena-like structure where the Doozers showcase their inventions and hold community events). Doozer Creek is lead by the Chief Architect Doozer who is the mother of Spike and Daisy Wheel.

Development[]
The Jim Henson Company first explored the idea of a spin-off starring the Doozers as far back as when Fraggle Rock was still on the air. One of the first efforts to do so was in development in 1993 and 1994. The 2D animated series would have featured Cotterpin Doozer and her friends Lugnut, Patch, and Downspout as they came up with solutions for Doozer problems. Michael K. Frith contributed concept art to the project. The idea was later revisited and revised in the early 2000s by the Henson Company.
The series was produced by The Jim Henson Company with Decode Entertainment.
The series was presented for sale at television industry conference MIPTV in 2009. A March 2009 press announcement stated that test animation was being made, with the series to comprise 52 eleven-minute episodes (or 26 half-hour broadcast episodes). Production was originally planned for fall of 2009 with release estimated for fall 2010; however production was delayed as the Henson Company continued to seek out broadcasters.[8]
On July 3, 2012, a press release from DHX Media (parent company of Decode) announced that the production had been greenlit and the series would begin production in July 2012 at DHX computer animation studio in Hallifax, Canada. The press release also noted that the Jim Henson Company was still "in negotiations" with broadcasters around the world to sell the series, and would be presenting it yet again at the MIPJunior and MIPCOM events.[9]
On September 12, 2012, it was announced that the series would be released coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Fraggle Rock in 2013.
The Jim Henson Company also carried the series' inventing and building philosophy into interactive digital content and consumer products.
