Dorothy Gale is the protagonist of L. Frank Baum's novel, The Wizard of Oz. In The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, she is an aspiring singer who works at a diner owned by Aunt Em.

Previously, Miss Piggy played the role in a sketch from The Muppets Go to the Movies and in "The Wizard of Foz," a comic from Muppet Magazine issue 4.

Zoe dressed as Dorothy on the cover of a Sesame Street coloring book.
Cookie Monster played the part in a Crumby Pictures sketch in Sesame Street.
