Doug Heyes, Jr. (b. 1956) is a television writer who scripted three episodes of Farscape. He was also a consulting producer during the first season.
Heyes is the son of Douglas Heyes, a prolific TV writer/director from the 1950s through the eighties, including work on The Adventures of Rin-Tin-Tin, Maverick, and the miniseries North and South. The younger Heyes was directed by his father in an episode of The Twilight Zone and the miniseries Captains and Kings. He continued to act occasionally, including Police Woman and The Dukes of Hazzard, before shifting to writing. He wrote for CHiPs, Automan, The Fall Guy, MacGyver, Hunter, Silk Stalkings, and Pacific Blue.
