"Down on the Corner" is a song by Creedence Clearwater Revival, which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in late 1969.

Cookie Monster sang the song in the 1990 Sesame Street Live show Let's Play School. In the show, Cookie pretends to be a monster firefighter and leads the cast in performing the song, with new lyrics about firefighting. Years later, the song was refitted to appear in the 2007 touring show When Elmo Grows Up (recycling most of the original audio).
