Eden Espinosa
is a Broadway stage performer, best known as Elphaba in the original cast of Wicked, in 2003, as standby for Idina Menzel. She performed opposite Kristin Chenoweth.

At a 2012 Drama League of New York gala event, she performed the song "For Good" from Wicked, with Elmo.

She replaced Menzel as lead for a month, left for another show, toured in the role on the first national tour, and in 2006 returned to the Broadway production. She played the role in the Los Angeles production of Wicked in 2007, and 2008 to 2009. In 2010 she took over the role of Elphaba in San Francisco. An episode of Ugly Betty including Wicked had Espinosa in the lead role.

Along with her role in Brooklyn, she was the final actress to play Maureen in the original production of Rent, in 2008. Maureen was originated by Menzel. She has lent her voice to Robot Chicken, appeared on Law & Order, The Tonight Show, and in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She voiced a Katy Perry parody on animated series Mad.
