Edith Ann is a character created by Lily Tomlin for Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. She's a five-and-a-half-year-old girl who offers various ponderings about life. Tomlin, a grown woman, sat in an oversized chair to play the character. Tomlin later voiced the animated version of the character for three television specials in the 1990s, but not before reprising the character on screen for Sesame Street in the 1970s.
