An Edvard Munch Muppet appears in the Sesame Street special, The Cookie Thief. He is a caricature of the artist of the same name and unlike other artists mentioned in the special, his name is left unspoofed.
Munch intends on painting The Cream, when his assistant Grover sends his subject into a surprised scream after he trips and breaks the artist's cookie. This works in favor of Munch, who begins painting.
