"Eggs Are Oval" is an animated Sesame Street song produced by Etienne Delessert.
A folk singer performs the tune as a mother hen looks for her eggs. Because of their ovular shape, the eggs are easy to find when hidden in rocky, grassy, and flowery areas. However, the hatched eggs instead produce a series of monsters rather than chicks, stressing the lesson to not count your eggs before they hatch.
