"El Canelo" is a song performed by Los Lobos on their 1978 album Los Lobos del Este de Los Angeles.
The band performed the song, with modified lyrics, on Sesame Street in the 24th season. The title character (an Anything Muppet performed by Kevin Clash) is going off to make a salad, when the band requests a list of groceries they'd like him to pick up while he's at the store.
