"Elmo's Smoke Detector Song" is a Sesame Street song written exclusively for the Sesame Street Fire Safety Project. Elmo sings about smoke detectors and what to do when one goes off.
The song was originally released on a cassette with the 1988 Sesame Street Fire Safety Book, and has been included in subsequent editions since. For the 2015 re-release, the song was redone with a new orchestration, slightly changed lyrics (replacing "smoke detector" with "smoke alarm"), and Ryan Dillon doing the vocals.
