2009 reissue
Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas by Matt Surowiec and the Tricentennial Band is a tribute album featuring covers of the original songs from Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. It was originally released in a limited CD printing for the special's 30th Anniversary.
The songs are performed and sung by Matt James, featuring new bluegrass/jug-band arrangements. The exception is "Riverbottom Nightmare Band", which recreates the rock style of the Riverbottom boys' performance.
All songs (composed by Paul Williams) were officially licensed from The Jim Henson Company and other respective copyright holders, and the album has been approved by the Henson Company as the first official tribute recording.
The album was reissued in 2009 with the title "A Tribute to Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas" by Pinwheel Parade (featuring Matt James).
It is also available as a digital download through iTunes.
