SCENE 1 cont'd He finally reaches Bob, sitting on the steps, and gives pantomimed clues about his name for Bob to guess. Rufus is lost, so Bob agrees to take care of him until they find his owner. Rufus cowers at the sight of Big Bird, until Bob assures him that he's not in danger.

Bob plays a game with Big Bird, who has to guess what rhymes with "eye" in the poem he recites. Big Bird incorrectly guesses "fly", but Rufus mimes "cry". Bob recites a second poem with a word that rhymes with "played", but Big Bird has a hard time guessing the correct word: "afraid".

Muppets Ernie & BertErnie has seven jellybeans, and Bert has six. To make it even, Ernie eats the extra jellybean. That's fair, isn't it?

Kermit talks about K words (including his name), while having Cookie Monster display the items he's mentioning. Finally, Cookie karate-chops the K.

Susan needs a newspaper, so Rufus fetches one from Hooper's Store. In the paper is a "lost dog" ad with his description. He is reluctant to go home at first, but Susan says he can come back and visit any time. She scratches him behind the ears, which feels great.

Muppets Ernie & BertErnie and Bert have difficulty scratching their backs, so both help each other scratch their back. While Ernie's itch takes a little too long to scratch, he introduces a film called "Everybody Scratch." After the film, Ernie notices that Bert has stopped scratching his back; Beautiful Day Monster is.

After Susan finishes reading, she hears a commotion from Oscar's trash can. Oscar tells her that someone has been using his candles, reading his newspapers, and drinking his milk. The culprit turns out to be Cookie Monster, who decides to move in with Oscar.
