Oscar, wearing a baker's hat and apron, explains that he's preparing for his friend Herbie's birthday. He shows Susan his special (insulting) poem and the present he picked out for him: some spring-loaded snakes in a can. Susan admits that she'd rather get a cake from a professional baker rather than Oscar.
