- Guy Smiley (then named Sonny Friendly) hosts the "Pick Your Pet" game show. The contestant, Lucy Jones, chooses between a bird, a dog, and a monster. Lucy asks a series of questions to the animals, asking them questions that would relate to a cat. Her time runs up before she can ask Beautiful Day Monster any questions. She has to choose, so she picks Beautiful Day Monster. The monster acts like a cat, so Lucy is happy with her pet. (First: Episode 0067)
- Alphabet Bates makes the letter O. (First: Episode 0012)
- Ernie and Bert: Ernie demonstrates the word "through" with the help of Beautiful Day Monster and Bert, who holds a hoop. (First: Episode 0023)

- Ernie and Bert: Ernie shows drawings to Bert, and Bert has to guess what happened. Ernie has a drawing of an empty bird cage with an open door (the bird flew away), and a man lying on the ground with a banana peel next to him (he slipped on it). Then Ernie shows Bert an empty page.
