SCENE 1 | Pete (Cleavon Little) stops by Big Bird's nest, where Big Bird is putting together a giant rocketship to go to the Moon. Pete is unsure about the prospect of actual space travel, but he and the kids help Big Bird build the rocket by following a diagram. Big Bird realizes he can't go to the Moon just now... |

SCENE 2 | Big Bird returns with a bag of birdseed, but Pete tells him that the rocket is merely a model and can't actually fly. Big Bird knows this and intends to reach the Moon using his imagination. He envisions himself riding on the rocket through space (represented by illustrations chroma keyed in), as he flies over a star and under a planet. He sees the Moon approaching and flies over it, then passes a cow, which he assumes is from "Hey Diddle Diddle." He makes his return to Earth and back to reality. Big Bird proposes they continue imagining by doing a rocket countdown. As they reach the end, the model rocket actually takes off into the sky. Pete says that Big Bird has a terrific imagination. |
