- Oscar the Grouch gives back a trumpet he borrowed.
- Mr. Snuffleupagus is sad because he wants to play on the barrels by Big Bird's nest, but they are behind a wall. The wall is too high for him to climb over and there is no hole in the wall for him to go through. Big Bird suggests opening the door, and explains what a door is. Mr. Snuffleupagus says he will have to remember that one.
- Mr. Hooper misses seeing Mr. Snuffleupagus
- Lefty the Salesman wants to sell Ernie a painting of a tree, which he says is a picture of four elephants. Ernie doesn't see the four elephants, so Lefty offers to show him the elephants if Ernie will buy the picture for a nickel. Lefty points out the elephants, which are actually spaces in the tree's branches. Ernie shells out for the picture. Ernie wants to pull the same trick on Bert, but Bert notices the elephants right away.
- George the Farmer shows that five is always five.
- "Sammy the Snake" explains that he looks and sounds like the letter S.
- Story: Bob reads "The King and the Fireman", a story about a king who becomes so grateful for being saved by a fireman that he decides to make everyone in the kingdom a firefighter... and soon realizes what a mistake he's made.

- Molly helps Big Bird to pack his suitcase.
