SCENE 1 | Big Bird sees the benefits water has in the community - Molly drinks it to refresh herself during her rounds, Susan waters her plants with it, and Gordon and some kids observe a couple of goldfish swimming in it. Big Bird thinks it would be great if all of Sesame Street was submerged in water, but Gordon suggests he imagine and find out why it's not a good idea. Big Bird imagines the situation, opening up a giant faucet attached to Hooper's Store and flooding Sesame Street. Though he likes it at first (watching the fish swim by and comparing it to a birdbath), he realizes birds can't breathe underwater. He quickly turns off the faucet and unplugs the drain via the manhole. Back in reality, he prefers watching the fish swimming in their bowl. |
