He imagines Tom must have gotten captured by a ferocious monster (Herry, who mercilessly tickles him), or has fallen ill and must stay home (while still terrorized by the monster). As he rushes around in a panic, he bumps into Tom, who simply overslept today. Big Bird is upset that Tom was sleeping away while he was worried sick about him.
