SCENE 4 | Everyone has left Grover alone to hiccup by himself. Big Bird returns and offers to help scare the hiccups out of him with a disguise. On his way back to his nest, he bumps into Snuffy and asks him to stop and say hi to Grover on his way home to take his nap. Snuffy reaches the arbor with Grover's back to him as he explains the surprise won't scare him because he knows it's Big Bird in disguise. Grover turns around and the shock of seeing Snuffy scares the hiccups out of him.
The adults return and learn of Grover's cure just as Big Bird arrives dressed like a snuffleupagus. Grover says he didn't need a second costume, the first one was enough. As Big Bird tries to explain that the first one was the real Snuffy, everyone mocks him and he laments over no one believing in Snuffy even when they see him with their own eyes. | |
