After they observe his plane write a letter D, Susan and Gordon tell Oscar he can look down now, but Oscar refuses because then he'd have to look at them. Once they leave, Oscar hatches a plan inspired by Alphabet Bates.

Muppets Waiter Grover: Grover serves Mr. Johnson a bowl of chicken soup. Johnson says that he can't eat the soup, and Grover can't guess why. "That settles it," Johnson sighs. "From now on, I'm bringing my lunch to work in a paper sack." He finally explains to Grover that he can't eat the soup because he doesn't have a spoon.

SCENE 4 Oscar's got a beak on his can now with feathered wings that can flap with a pull string. Tom and Luis to make fun of him again. Oscar gets another idea from the beak which is shaped like a rocket.

Animation An orange pops out of a basket of fruits and gets "made up" as the face of Carmen, the role in the opera of the same name. While singing "Habanera," the famed aria from the opera, Carmen loses her "face" and can't resume singing until the wig returns.

SCENE 5 Having fashioned his can to look like a rocket, Oscar recites a countdown but nothing happens. Tom explains that he needs an engine strong enough to lift ot off the ground. When a kid walks by with a helium-filled balloon, Oscar gets yet another idea.

Upon landing back in front of 123 Sesame Street, he tells his neighbors he won't go back unless he can get a trash dump to fly.
