This proves to be very difficult, as Cookie darts in and out every few seconds asking if the delivery has arrived. | |

SCENE 3 | Cookie is struggling to keep his mind off cookies. He considers taking a ride on the tire swing and begins envisioning it as a giant cookie that he starts to eat. In reality, he is repulsed by the yucky, rubber taste. He has a similar experience with a nearby bicycle. Big Bird greets the monster, but Cookie realizes he can't even hear his own name without thinking of cookies. He covers up his ears, then catches wind of Molly's new perfume. Molly is insulted when Cookie thinks it smells like his favorite food: "I didn't spend five dollars and seventeen cents to smell like a cookie!" she exclaims. Cookie now tries to hold his nose, but a couple of kids ask to play frisbee with him. Once again, the sight of the frisbee reminds him of a cookie, so he alternates between covering his eyes, nose, and ears. He gets an idea and runs off. | |

SCENE 4 | Cookie has nullified his senses with earmuffs, a blindfold, and a clothespin for his nose. Tom comes over with news that the cookie delivery just arrived and he has a carton with him. He can't get Cookie's attention at first until he removes his earmuffs. Cookie gleefully starts to scarf down the whole box. | |

SCENE 5 | Back at Hooper's, Tom stands with a now empty carton, hypnotically saying, "I can't believe he ate that whoooole thing!" Molly orders a glass of milk and a cookie. However, Tom points out that Cookie Monster has eaten all twelve dozen cookies that came in, and another shipment won't come until tomorrow. Cookie Monster understands the situation Molly is in right now, and starts to force his clothespin, earmuffs, and blindfold on her to help keep her mind off cookies. | |
