SCENE 3 | At Hooper's Store, Big Bird asks David, Maria, Luis and Kate what he should do about his “imaginary” friend’s situation. They all brush him off and go their separate ways. Meanwhile, at Big Bird's nest, Snuffy's mother greets the viewer as she looks around for her son (complete with her own, albeit slower, traveling music). She's narrowly missed by Maria and Kate when heading to the yard, and again by Luis and David who joke about the supposed friend and his mother. Mrs. Snuffleupagus decides to wait in the yard, while Snuffy pokes his snuffle out of the garage door window and realizes that his mother is just outside. | |

SCENE 4 | Big Bird encounters Mrs. Snuffleupagus, and is conflicted when she asks for Snuffy's whereabouts. Though he keeps his promise and doesn't tell where he is, Mrs. Snuffleupagus wants him to pass a message on to Snuffy: his mommy and daddy love him very much, and have a big bowl of spaghetti waiting for him when he comes home. Snuffy overhears this and quickly follows his mommy home, again narrowly missing Big Bird's friends, who still don't believe him. | |
