SCENE 1 | Early in the morning, Big Bird wakes up and notices heβs the first one up; everyone else is asleep, and even Hooper's Store is still closed. He wants to practice his bass drum, but then imagines the kind of reaction heβd get if he were to do so, with Gordon, Bob, and Maria waking up and complaining. He then wants to build a birdhouse for his cousin, but imagines the same scenario happening. Instead, he decides to take a nap, falling asleep on the wall adjacent to the construction doors. |
