SCENE 3 | Mr. Snuffleupagus drops by Big Bird's nest, where Big Bird has a small, plastic wading pool and one of his toy boats. Snuffy wants to go for a swim ("You should see me float on my back."), but not only is he much too big, the pool is empty. While Big Bird goes to get Gordon with the hose, Snuffy remembers that a nearby barrel is full of water, and he uses it to fill the pool himself with his snuffle, then leaves to get a drink. Gordon and Big Bird return, though Gordon is perturbed that not only is his role pointless, but there's also no Snuffleupagus. Snuffy peeks in once Gordon leaves and, still thirsty, asks to drink from the pool. |
