Oscar thinks 5 is his lucky number, because his alarm rang at 5:00 today, his phone rang 5 times during his mud bath, he broke 5 rotten eggs, and 5 people dropped trash on his head. The race takes place inside Oscar's trash can, and instead of cars, the Grouches race with elephants. David watches in excitement as the race announcer (Jerry Nelson) gives color commentary. At the climax of the race, Oscar comes in 5th place.
