SCENE 4 Big Bird thinks about what he’d like to be when he grows up. He imagines himself as a birdseed salesman, pushing a cart of bagged seed and hawking it to Susan, but she doesn't care for any. Mr. Hooper also doesn't want it as he already has a big bag of it to sell, and Mauricio would rather have sandwiches for his lunch. Back in reality, Susan sees Big Bird moping over his potential failure to sell birdseed, and suggests he imagine selling birdseed to birds instead of people. In his fantasy, Big Bird successfully sells some bags of seed to Little Bird (Jerry Nelson) and a small group of flying canaries. After the fantasy, Susan mentions that she could also use some birdseed for Pete, her pet parakeet.
