SCENE 1 Mr. Hooper finishes listening to the weatherman (Jerry Nelson) on the radio as Big Bird enters Hooper's Store. Mr. Hooper wants Big Bird and the kids to guess what's going to happen, and provides them with clues - it's something coming to Sesame Street, but can't be seen, and it blows and moves things all over the block. The answer is the wind, but Big Bird (still not getting it) can't concentrate on the answer because of the sound the wind is making outside.

Oscar wants his copy of The Daily Grouch, but the newsboy doesn't think he can toss the paper up so high, so he starts reading it aloud instead. Oscar groans at his misfortune.
