	SCENE 1	Oscar practices for his Grouch magic show, where he plans to make things disappear. He wishes to practice alone, but Susan and the kids have no plans on leaving. Oscar imagines that he really can make people disappear, and pictures waving his wand and saying the magic words ("Alakazam, alaka-trash!"), causing everybody to vanish one at a time. He ends up making himself dissipate instead of Susan, and attempts to reverse the spell.

	Muppets	The Count extinguishes electric candles by counting them with his finger. As he heads up the stairs for bed, he steps on Fatatita. He also tells his wolf Yuba to run and play with his friends. (First: Episode 0545)

	Muppets	Ernie & Bert — Bert is trying to write a letter to Mr. Rogers, but finds it difficult when Ernie operates his electric fan right next to him. Bert blows up at Ernie and says he is "hot and bothered," and Ernie has just the thing for that: more cool air. (First: Episode 0544)

	SCENE 2	On his day off, Mr. Hooper visits his store to retrieve his reading glasses and observes how differently David handles things at the store: he leaves the ketchup bottle on the counter, and puts the clean dishes near the grill. Mr. Hooper insists that his ways are better than David's, and David becomes so insulted that he removes his apron and leaves to study. Mr. Hooper angrily takes over David's post.

	SCENE 2 cont'd	Mr. Hooper serves a sundae to B.J. (Jerry Nelson), who rejects it since it's not quite the same way David makes them. Next, Gordon enters to pick up an order of hot dogs, mentioning how David knows that they like them with lots of mustard. Mr. Hooper grabs the wrong condiment bottle, located where David usually puts the mustard, and accidentally puts whipped cream on the hot dogs instead. Gordon no longer wants them, but Oscar takes them for the Grouch party he's having. Mr. Hooper irately explains that it was a mistake, and Oscar compliments him; it's the best grouching he's heard all week and invites him to the party.

	SCENE 2 cont'd	David returns to get his law books, but it's really an excuse for him and Mr. Hooper to apologize to one another. Mr. Hooper explains that at his age, a person gets used to how things usually are, but acknowledges that it's okay for David to have his own way of doing things, too. David goes back to work, and happily prepares Mr. Hooper one of his special hamburgers.
