SCENE 1 At Hooper's Store, Mr. Hooper has Big Bird guess what we'll be learning about today, with an empty glass. When he fills it with water, it's full, but when he drinks it, it's empty. It takes awhile for Big Bird to grasp the concept.
Cartoon A jar is full of jellybeans. The jar becomes empty, while a hungry boy is full.

The Country Mouse lives peacefully on the farm when his cousin, the City Mouse, comes to visit. The City Mouse is appalled that his cousin lives in a haystack, eats acorns, and listens to birdsong. He invites his cousin to come visit him in the city.

Part 2 of 2
The Country Mouse visits the City Mouse's apartment, and finds that his cousin eats pizza, doesn't mind traffic sounds, and listens to groovy music on his stereo. The Country Mouse is startled when he hears a cat. The City Mouse sighs, "Oh, that's just the cat. That means he's hungry, and he wants to catch us and eat us for dinner." Horrified, the Country Mouse goes back to the country, where he's safe. The City Mouse offers the cat a bite of pizza.

Muppets Grover volunteers to assist the Amazing Mumford in his rhyming magic trick, making three things come out of his hat that rhyme with "knee". Grover guesses the first one (key), but doesn't get the last two (ski and tree) right.

Film Two glasses are filled with fluid, but one glass overflows as a hand keeps pouring into it. The same thing happens using salt shakers and bowls of nuts. Finally, the glasses are filled again, only one glass barely fills up as fluid is poured into it. The camera pulls out, revealing the glass is filling into another one below, which overflows as before.

Muppets Ernie & Bert β€” Ernie eats one of the two pieces of chocolate cake that Bert was saving for their dessert. Bert sees Ernie holding a fork in one hand and a napkin with some chocolate on it in the other--and in front of him is a plate full of chocolate-cake crumbs. When Bert accuses Ernie of eating the cake, Ernie tells Bert that a monster came in, ate Bert's cake, and framed Ernie. Bert doesn't believe Ernie's lie. But when Bert leaves the room, Beautiful Day Monster comes in and does exactly what Ernie told Bert happened to the first piece. Ernie tries to explain, but Bert says, "I don't want to talk about it."
