SCENE 3 Oscar has decorated the street in the macabre, changing its name to Scary Street and 123 Sesame Street to Creepy Castle, with cobwebs littered about and boxes rigged to spring with fun house creatures. (The script instructs art director Alan Compton to "use the Vincent Price side of his talent.") Oscar starts the scary sounds up again, but while everyone is still on to him, they decide to fake their fright and run about being chased by objects flying around on wires with spooky howling and flashes of thunder and lightning. They all mockingly huddle up to Oscar asking him to protect them from all the scariness, so Oscar reveals his gag and assures everyone it's all fake.
