SCENE 1 During a heavy downpour, Maria and David take shelter under the awning of Hooper's Store. Neither of them has an umbrella, so they decide to use an old newspaper to deliver groceries and get home without soaking Maria's bag of books.

Muppets Ernie & BertErnie wants to show Bert his ice cube collection. The ice cubes were so cold that he had to put them in a box covered with an electric blanket. Much to Ernie's surprise, the ice cubes have disappeared. Since they were replaced with water, Ernie suspects that a fish might have stolen them. Bert tells him that it's because they've melted. Ernie, however, is now convinced that a fish melted the ice cubes, and angrily walks out the door to "tear him fin-from-fin."

SCENE 2 Big Bird and the kids try to teach Mr. Snuffleupagus how to play jump rope, but he's too big to swing the rope around. Snuffy tries hopscotch next, but he trips and falls over his feet. Convinced he's no good at any games, the kids encourage him to try marbles. Snuffy sucks a bunch of them up into his snuffle and fires them ricocheting all over Sesame Street, winning the game. Proud of his achievement, he hurries home to tell his mommy as David and Maria ask what all that noise was.

SCENE 3 Oscar the Grouch is throwing a party in his can, but he's run out of mud. Luis says he can help, but he needs a rock in exchange. Oscar hands one over, and Luis takes it to Hooper's where he exchanges it with David for a glass of water. Luis uses the water for Maria's plants, and asks for some mud from the planter in exchange. Luis delivers the mud to Oscar, saving his party. He doesn't want his grouch friends hearing it, but Oscar says Luis is a real pal.
