Big Bird then tries scolding the ball, the way his mother does when she wants him to do something, and gives the ball to the count of three to come down from there. While he counts, Susan retrieves the ball and drops it down to the kids making Big Bird think emulating his mother worked. | |

The doctor asks what Sam wants with him, and the mean hombre says that his finger is really itchy -- it's driving him crazy. Is it a mosquito bite? Should he use some lotion on it? SCENE 2 | Maria reluctantly approaches Oscar's trash can and asks him if she can borrow a cup of sugar. Oscar says she's welcome to it, but she has to come inside and get it herself. In the dark, Oscar leads her around his grand piano (not as out of tune as it should be), the world's largest privately-owned rusty tin can collection, a trampoline, a collection of secondhand macaroni and cheese, a swimming pool, and his pet skunk named Rosebud. Maria finds the sugar and makes her way out of the can just as Luis arrives to ask for a cup of flour. Maria warns him not to do it, but Oscar politely hands over the requested item without a fuss. | |

When Bert accuses Ernie of eating the cake, Ernie tells Bert that a monster came in, ate Bert's cake, and framed Ernie. Bert doesn't believe Ernie's lie.
