SCENE 1 | Mr. Hooper and Maria assume Big Bird is sick since he didn’t come with Maria to the library and had ordered some food from Hooper's Store to be delivered. When they get to his nest, Big Bird reveals why he couldn't go anywhere: he's watching an egg for his cousin Tondalea as she flies South for a while. He has it kept under a blanket to stay warm, but soon the egg hatches and Big Bird realizes he’ll have to temporarily be a mommy/daddy bird to the baby bird. | |
