SCENE 3 | Cookie Monster has just eaten several boxes of cookies at Hooper's Store. He asks for more, but David denies him on the grounds of needing to keep some in stock for other customers.
When a cow (Caroll Spinney) approaches the counter, David is so fascinated by there being a cow on Sesame Street, that he says everything in the store is on the house: candy, ice cream soda, cookies, etc. Cookie Monster overhears the offer and gets an idea. Upon request, David feeds the cow some hay. When he turns to Cookie Monster to share his fascination with feeding a cow, Cookie has vacated the premises. | |
Cartoon | A vaudeville act of two SAME people (voiced by Daws Butler and Bob Arbogast) ends when one of them falls off the stage. | |
SCENE 4 | Cookie Monster returns dressed as a cow: he has horns, a cow bell, and "gives milk" (a glass of it). David sees through his disguise and says that since he's a cow, he'd love to have some hay because that's what cows like best. Cookie Monster eats some, says it's not bad, but still wants cookies.
Big Bird drops by, says he's hungry, but isn't sure what he wants. David offers up some ideas including ice cream soda and cookies. Upon hearing this, Cookie Monster gets another idea and leaves. In his absence, Big Bird says birds love birdseed best, so he'll take a box ("put it on my bill"). | |
