Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 David gets angry when he's almost hit by a stack of newspapers thrown at his feet by a newspaper deliveryman. The driver of the newspaper truck apologizes to David.
SCENE 2 Big Bird and a kid are at Hooper's Store, when suddenly it starts to rain. Since Big Bird is tall, he carries the umbrella; the kid carries the package.
SCENE 3 A voiceover narrates as it rains on Sesame Street, pointing out the various sounds it makes when it hits different surfaces.
SCENE 4 As it rains, Oscar tells Luis and Bob that he’s mad at the clouds. Luis mentions that he was just fixing a radio, then the rain ruined it; Bob mentions that he had to quickly take down his drying laundry from the clothesline, but he dropped his clothes so they’re dirty again. Oscar thinks he’s missed out on all the fun, but he gets out his own radio and turns it on so the rain will short it out, then throws some clothes on the ground so they’ll get wet.
SCENE 5 Big Bird has written a poem about the rain, but Maria keeps correcting him on the rhyming words. The rain stops, and Big Bird goes off to write a poem about the sun.
SCENE 6 Maria plays a Spanish “Three of These Things” game with the kids: three faces with mustaches, one without.
SCENE 7 The sponsors are announced.
