SCENE 1 | Walking toward Hooper's Store, Big Bird frets about being so tall and wonders what it would be like to be short like everyone else. He sees Mr. Hooper through the window, surprised to see how tall he's become; it turns out he's just standing on a stool to feather-dust the top of his shelf, making him look taller than Big Bird. Big Bird then sees Bob and Susan hanging a giant sheet on the laundry, making them look taller. Big Bird fears that he is shrinking until Bob and Susan move the sheet to reveal they're both standing on a ladder. They reassure him that they’re all still the same size, and it's okay to be either short or tall.
SCENE 1 cont'd | Big Bird then passes by Gordon painting a window frame at the bottom of the 123 building. Thinking he's shrunk, Big Bird assures him people will still like him even if he's short, giving Gordon a pat on the head and offering some lollipops.
