SCENE 2 Big Bird informs David and Luis that Snuffy is at his place taking a nap. The men are reluctant, considering the usual outcome. Before they arrive Snuffy wakes up, having trouble getting comfortable. He leaves to go get his Snuffy Bear from his cave, and as expected the grown-ups find the area empty, leaving Big Bird dumbfounded and the men irritated.

SCENE 2 cont'd Snuffy comes back with his Snuffy Bear and once Big Bird sees him, he goes to tell David and Luis who are now putting their foot down. They decide to give him one last chance, just after Snuffy leaves (having decided he feels more comfortable sleeping in his own bed). They find the Snuffy Bear and excitedly point out that all the physical features Big Bird has described are right there... except for his size. They hand Big Bird the toy and leave.

SCENE 4 David tells Luis how several of the machines at Hooper's Store were malfunctioning earlier, and Sam the Robot overheard him say how he was “fed up with machines.” Moments later Sam emerges dressed all over with leaves, disguised as a tree. Luis and David explain some things about trees to Sam that are different than machines, and reassure Sam they like him just the way he is. Sam is relieved until he spots a bird (Richard Hunt) starting to build a nest in his fake branches. Sam tries to prove that he's a machine by multiplying 187 by 187, resulting in the bird calling the rest of his family over to live in “a tree that multiplies!”

Luis informs him that Robert won’t be able to ride his bike if it has a square wheel, so Herry agrees to bend it back into its regular round shape, baffling and relieving Luis at the same time.
