SCENE 1 | Luis, David, and Susan observe Oscar nearby wearing a beret and using a film camera. ("He thinks he's Kubrick or somebody," David comments.) They witness him filming Maria coming out of Big Bird's nest area, running a gamut of emotions as Oscar calls out instructions. The others find out that he decided to make some movies using the old discarded camera he found, and reveals that he's been taking shots of the others while they weren’t looking; the others get excited when they learn they're going to be a part of his movie. He plans to develop the footage soon and have a screening over at Hooper's Store later today.
Cartoon | A man (voiced by Jack Dodson) describes places that begin with U and what you can do with the letter U. (First: Episode 0416)
SCENE 2 | Oscar has set up his projector inside Hooper's Store, but Luis, Susan, Maria, David, and the kids are bothered by Oscar charging to see the viewing. (He claims the money is going towards a Poison Ivy League college fund for some "undeserving Grouch.") Maria turns out the lights, and Oscar’s film begins with him roaring (a la the MGM lion).
SCENE 2 cont'd | His visual narrative follows a tin can’s trip from the ground to a sanitation truck to "paradise": the city dump, and the various goings-on there such as seagulls searching for food. "You think the Taj Mahal is beautiful? Look at this!" he exclaims as footage of a bulldozer dumps more garbage over a hill, where it's revealed that Oscar is at the bottom of the pile revelling in the junk. A car is shown being tossed in a trash compactor before the cube is moved into a "parking lot for old cars." After another brief shot of Oscar enjoying the sights, the camera shows the sun setting with Hawaiian music playing as Oscar provides narration: "Now as the sun slowly sinks into the mess - I mean West - we say aloha, goodbye to our fair garbage dump. We hope someday to return to this fairyland of trash, paradise of the rusty nail, the broken umbrella, the broken soda pop bottle of no return, ah yes..."
SCENE 2 cont'd | At the end of the movie, very brief shots of Luis, Susan, and David flash before the film runs out. Maria wonders why the movie didn't have any of the footage showing her emotional range. Oscar reveals that he used all the film up at the dump, so there wasn't any film when shooting her scene! Oscar chuckles as everyone else boos and tosses their popcorn at him.

Luis begins to talk just as softly, and soon Maria, Susan, and David all join in the whispering conversation. David wonders why everyone is speaking so quietly, but the others haven't a clue. Luis reads in the book that the princess is very happy, but the princess interrupts him. "Don't believe everything you read!" she cries, throwing the book away. "The fact is, I'm sick of being clean. I'm sick of being lovely... and I'm one sad princess." Her subjects insist that she must be happy, because she's a beautiful princess. She sings a sad song, explaining that she's very bored just sitting around and watching them work. She offers to join her subjects in their work. They object that she might tear her dress, or get dirty, but she says that she'd love to get dirty. The subjects are thrilled to have "a beautiful, working princess". Luis shrugs and says that they lived happily ever after, although the subjects point out that that's a generalization -- they have good days and bad days. The princess asks Luis to move so that she can fix his chair. (First: Episode 0812)
