Big Bird holds up his β€œwet paint” sign and stands by the barrel. Gordon suggests he hang it somewhere so that he doesn't have to stand put holding it until the paint dries. Big Bird finds his options are limited - if he puts the sign on the barrel, it might stick to the drying paint, and he can't place it on any other object because they aren't wet. He goes into his nest with an idea.

Maria approaches him, and Big Bird angrily assumes she's about to give him more advice like the other grownups did, but she just wants to let him know that the barrel is dry, and the paint isn't wet anymore. Big Bird happily vows to only listen to Maria from now on.
