Linda tells them that they can imagine their own carnival using their hands and bodies, and invites them to Hooper's Store to make a phone call.

Muppets Ernie & Bert — Ernie tries to put a pot on Bert's head. Bert asks Ernie why he's doing that, and Ernie says that he broke a cookie jar. Ernie has to put the cookies somewhere, so he put them in the sugar bowl – and put the sugar in the flowerpot, which meant that he had to put the flower in a milk bottle. He put the milk in the soda bottle, and the soda into the fishbowl, and the fish in Bert's cowboy hat. Bert asks, "Now what am I gonna wear when I wanna play cowboy?" Ernie puts the pot on Bert's head and says, "Ride 'em, cowboy, Bert!"

SCENE 2 Bob calls Linda’s friend Peggy and invites her and their friends from the Little Theatre of the Deaf over to Sesame Street. Linda wants Bob to ask the group to "bring a carnival" with them, and Bob is surprised when Peggy accepts the odd request.

Peggy interprets as Linda explains how they'll have an imaginary carnival, with the other LTD members mimicking balloons, flags, and bumper cars. The group begins with a big parade led by drum major Jimmy who starts off with some flips, and everybody follows into the yard playing their pretend instruments.

SCENE 6 The gang sets up some imaginary carnival games for the kids to play. Peggy, CJ, and Tim form a human pyramid to represent a stack of milk bottles for John-John to knock over. Jimmy does some cartwheels as a wheel of fortune, and a few kids do some juggling tricks. Tim then blows up a big balloon which begins to send him floating toward the sky (thanks to the others lifting him). They finish with the LTD forming a soda machine, with Tim standing in for a giant bottle of root beer.
