SCENE 1 Maria receives a letter from Buffy, with pictures of her newborn baby, Dakota Starblanket Wolfchild. She shows it to Luis, Bob and Big Bird, who observes that Buffy's chest really sticks out when comparing photos of her pre- and post-pregnancy. They remind Big Bird what it means to be pregnant and he muses about becoming a parent himself one day. He even has a name picked out - Dakota Starblanket Birdchild.

SCENE 2 Big Bird believes that if someone's stomach is sticking out, it must indicate they're also pregnant. He wonders who else on Sesame Street could be pregnant, then notices his own gut, and thinks heโ€™s pregnant. He fantasizes about having a baby and does all the things a responsible parent does (feeding it birdseed, washing it, and singing the baby a lullaby). He decides to play it safe and get ready for a baby by finding a cradle.

SCENE 3 Biff and Sully deliver a large, heavy cradle to Big Bird's nest, where he knits a long sock. Biff asks why Big Bird needs this and Big Bird explains his logic, though Biff admits that he's only seen "women people" have babies. The hardhats set the cradle down as Big Bird starts thinking of the ideal place it can go. Biff and Sully, pooped from carrying the cradle ten blocks to Big Bird's place, now take a nap in it. Big Bird gets some parental practice in by rocking the two and singing to them.
